The quicksand of life.

DEPRESSION

Depression is a state of being in which a person becomes less interested in living and also in taking part in any sort of activities. In other words he/she becomes inactive and succumbs to pains and loneliness, Many of you can connect to this if you have experienced depression of any sort. Now the question here is whether we  know what are the different kinds of depression and what causes it?

For me, depression is the outcome of prolonged period of pain and state of being hurt. It’s like cancer, if not treated at its early stages, then can be fatal. But can we differentiate between being depressed or just being upset for something? That is the first thing to check when you think you are depressed. One should see whether it is just one thing which went wrong which is making you upset or it’s many things all together that causing pain in your life. And if it is depression then one should seek help. But most of the times, while being depressed we tend to stay alone and break all our connections with the outside world and in that state of mind we don’t see talking to people as an valid option. That is the major issue here. We often think we should be alone and even if we are with someone or other people we try to blend in by just wearing a fake smile. That’s completely normal, I have done the same. But that is not the cure for depression. Depression sucks the life out of you just like a quicksand sucks you in.

Reason may be anything but the solutions lies within us. Sometimes, you have to fight against your own self to survive. Depression kills you from inside and leaves you heartless from the outside. And we are helpless towards it. Only our loved ones are capable of seeing our condition and only they can help you to overcome it. But if in reality there is no one with a depressed person, which happens most of the time, the person does things which are not only unhealthy but fatal. And we all know that, most of these kind of people who are depressed tend to commit suicide which they think is the valid solution, but that only creates more suffering to your family or loved ones. There remains a constant war inside you when you are depressed. You seek help but no one is there when you need them.

People may or may not be the reason of someone's depression but they surely are the solution to it. We as a human being should try to prevent that. If we come across anyone who is thinking less of his life and is depressed than we should not simply give him a psychiatrist’s number but instead should spend time with him and make him realize that there is more to life than just living. I am grateful to my loved one, who helped me understand all of this. And so I wanted to share this to you all also. I believe depression is an illness and can be cured just like any other we just need attention, care and love.

What is your personal agenda?

Personal Agenda Everybody has a very active mind which generates and processes many thoughts every seconds.   And among those thoughts there is always one or few personal agendas which are kept hidden to themselves. People always keep it secret because they don’t trust others with their own thoughts and they try to keep it this way also because they think if anybody knows about it then they might start judging you even before they try to understand you. I have just taken a few things from here and there and while writing this I discovered few things about myself as well, as again life is a journey of self-realisation. Again I want to share a piece of my mind and it does not apply that everybody has the same features that I am talking about. Coming back to the topic, one of the main things that I have noticed is that people allow thoughts to enter. People don’t just think of doing something in a moment. Everybody has two options, either to do it or to not to do it....

THE REAL ME!!?

WHO AM I? A few days earlier, I was asked whether I am the same person in reality as I portray myself in front of others or I am different when no one is looking? Honestly I would not say that I am exactly the same in front of others as I am in reality, but to some extent my nature is similar in front of others as well as in person. Saying that, I should ask you to listen to me first before judging me on this point. I believe that nature should be handled properly. But first, lets understand what makes or defines our nature. Our nature is made or effected by how we our brought up, our surroundings and also by peers we keep around. And how we behave should be governed by the situation. For example, having a sarcastic behaviour or attitude in a situation which is sorrowful can be harmful. So here, I question whether being oneself in every situation is a good idea or not? Being same in every scenarios, does it really pays off or not? Should we be different in front of others or a g...

CHILDHOOD After winning your first race of life, you come to this world. And after the patiently waiting for nine months, you are the most precious gift of your parents. The most beautiful moments in your life comes from your childhood. Childhood is best part of most of the people. With your numb lips and poopy pants you also do things which not only become memorable for the people around you as well as for you when you grow up. Unlike the high tension filled life of now, those were the days when you had no issue even if you pooped in your pants or proposed a girl in your kindergarten. So by far those were really the Golden Era of most our Lives. Let's talk about the memorable things we might have did when we were small toddlers or probably younger boy/girl. With everything you do you learn things which you can apply in your daily life. We all have done things which we look back, like learning to walk or riding your bike for the first time without training wheels. Wai...
